Dr Tunde Salako’s

Tunde is an entrepreneur and ecosystem builder with experience in the business of engendering access to insurance and fostering penetration. His background and expertise have obliged him the privilege to have cut across 2 major industries spanning insurance and healthcare though, foundationally trained as a physician. Based on his medical background, Tunde is ex-CEO of a health insurance companies in Nigeria where he moved on from in 2019 to focus on other pertinent interests. Tunde’s interests cut across technology, analytics, and business process automation. He is passionate about the use of tech to galvanize inclusion in the insurance ecosystem hence, the birth of the platform -Africa Insurtech Lab (A.I.L) in a bid to nurture the insurance-technology ecosystem. The platform is Africa’s premiere platform aggregating all stakeholders in the Insurance and technology ecosystem with a focus on the African insurance space passionately reverse engineering insurance inclusion on the continent via technology. Tunde is an integral faculty of International Federation of Health Plans -Big Ideas program since its inception with his knowledge of both local and international ecosystems being the African representative & advisor to InsureTech Connect(ITC) LLC and, Sonr global (UK) . He is also Co-founder of a startup, and seats as advisor to several startups including the venture studio- Founders Factory Africa. Tunde serves as a bridge between international industry stakeholders and the local industry community via deep and on-the-ground insights and data driven information in Africa.
